Obviously, being a battery and renewable energy technology company, we are pro battery and have some bias here. But it is a reasonable question to ask and we beleive it is a great time to invest in battery technology right now.
Firstly, our management team and our friends have personally installed our technology at their homes and we are fitting out our workshop with an AC coupled Daytech Energy system, so we strongly beleive this is a good move right now, for both the environment and to save money.
Secondly, battery technology has advanced rapidly over the last 20 years and the price per kWh is at a record low. Daytech Energy has a very affodable price point in the market. It is at a lower cost than ever before and a good investment, with between 2 and 4 years ROI, depending upon the application.
Advancements in Lithium battery technology have stabalised and will only be incremental now, with no radical breakthroughs expected in the technology. We are in a refinement stage, with minor improvements occuring in the manufacturing processes, electronic control circuits, connectivity, software and apps. This means that if you invest in lithium batteries now, you can be pretty sure that you will not have any buyers remorse, which you might experience with technologies such as your smartphone, when the latest model is released.
With Daytech's modular approach to battery energy storage, the good news is, when new developments are released, you can upgrade without replacing your whole system.
